LUV A PET Rescue is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization who helps abandoned, abused and neglected puppies, kittens, cats, dogs and a variety of other small animals. We do not have a physical shelter but rather a network of dedicated volunteers that foster these animals in their homes. This year we have rescued 305 animals so far and are continually called to help more abandoned pets. We have also spayed or neutered 421 pets so far this year. The organization provides low cost spay, neuter and vaccine services to our community in an attempt to stop pet overpopulation. In our community alone, 12,125 animals have been abandoned at the county shelter this year. The majority have been euthanized. We also provide a pet food bank to assist those who have fallen on difficult times so they can keep their families together and the pets are not abandoned. Education on proper pet care and socialization is also part of our mission.
